Alice V. Jones

Alice’s professional passion is assisting land trusts, landowners, and other non-profit organizations to conserve open spaces. Alice has a deep respect for the people who work hard to protect natural places and their unique features, and her desire to help her clients achieve their land conservation goals motivates Alice to provide consistent, considerate, and high-quality legal services.

Prior to joining Weinberg & Hromadka, Alice served for eight years as in-house counsel for a land trust that protects agricultural land, water resources, wildlife habitat, and community open spaces in Western Montana. In that role, Alice worked closely with staff members to draft, finalize, interpret, and enforce conservation easements. She also assisted the land trust with acquiring lands to own and manage, or to transfer to conservation partners.

Alice was born in Missoula, Montana, and grew up in Portland, Oregon. Alice earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Spanish at the University of Montana. After college, Alice spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar in Madrid teaching English at a public elementary school and taking classes in human rights law at a Spanish university. Alice is the Board President of Homeword, a non-profit organization that works to create homes that people can afford and to provide homebuyer and financial education.

In her free time, Alice enjoys being with friends and family and recreating in her favorite outdoor places – Missoula’s local trails, Montana’s endless backcountry, and the coasts and mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

Due to Lindsey’s attention to detail, discipline and clarity in her research, her case was brilliantly formed. Her writing in response to my side was argued eloquently and in the end she won my case. Thank you Lindsey, I cannot say enough to her talent and expertise, but you will not be disappointed in her professionalism, poise and intelligence.
